Now through August 1st YALSA is seeking program proposals for the 2017 ALA Annual Conference to be held in Chicago June 23-27. We're seeking content of interest to library staff serving teens including, cultural competency, college and career readiness, community partnerships, digital equity, multiple literacies, outcomes/assessment, youth participation, and more. American Library Association (ALA) Annual Convention Co-Sponsored Session
USBBY holds a co-sponsored session at the annual convention of the American Library Association featuring an international author or other expert in the field of literature for children and young adults.

The ALA/USSBY ALA Annual program is scheduled on Saturday, June 24 from 5:00-6:30 pm in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Burnham/CC 23A-C room.
The program titled, "Celebrating 25 years of The Rainbow Fish with Marcus Pfister," will feature author/illustrator Marcus Pfister. Annette Goldstein, editor of Reading the World's Stories, will announce the publication of the newest edition of the Bridge to Understanding series.

Titles on the 2015 International Children's Book Day book list were compiled and annotated by members of the Association for Library Service to Children's (ALSC) Quicklists Consulting Committee.
