On Saturday, November 14, 2020, USBBY will conduct its annual membership meeting (which was originally scheduled to be held at the NCTE convention) virtually on Zoom. The meeting will begin at 2:00 pm Eastern time (1:00 pm Central; 12 Noon Mountain; 11:00 am Pacific). The meeting is free but registration is required. Please click here to register.
In addition to the business portion of the meeting, we have a very special program planned. We will launch the 2021 IBBY International Children’s Book Day Poster that USBBY is sponsoring. The program will include presentations by IBBY Executive Director Liz Page; Roger Mello, Hans Christian Andersen illustrator from Brazil who created the exquisite artwork for the poster; and Margarita Engle, Cuban-American author who wrote the beautiful message-in-verse illuminating the theme, “The Music of Words”.
