IBBY Announces Winners of the 2016 HCA Award

USBBY is pleased to share that artist Rotraut Susanne Berner of Germany and Cao Wenxuan of China have received the 2016 Hans Christian Andersen Award. 

Patricia Aldana, Chair of the jury for the Hans Christian Andersen Award of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) today announced the winners of the 2016 Hans Christian Andersen Award, considered to be the children's Nobel. Frequently referred to as the "Little Nobel Prize," the Hans Christian Andersen Medal is considered the highest international recognition given to an author and illustrator of children´s books.
